Planning Advisory

Flude Commercial understand planning issues and how they can both create and add value in certain instances but also reduce options and frustrate deals in other instances. We also understand the process and the Local Plans / Local Development Frameworks (LDF’s) which local authorities prepare and use when making planning decisions.

In particular Flude Commercial are experienced in the provision of advice on situations where a change of use is required – to permit, for example, an alternative commercial use (for a D1 occupier to occupy space currently consented for B1 use for example) or to enable a conversion of a commercial property to a residential use.

We are experienced in providing reports to support planning applications for changes of use / redevelopment.

Flude Commercial are also experienced in the provision of advice on the mix and balance of uses within a new development scheme.

We have relationships with specialist planning practices and can draw in the necessary planning and legal expertise from these associations where necessary.
