Thursday 24 April 2025

Flude Property Consultants are delighted to announce the successful letting of 33 New Road, Brighton to Posh Totty Designs – a celebrated independent brand known for their unique, personalised jewellery.

Located in the heart of Brighton’s vibrant cultural quarter, 33 New Road provides the perfect environment for Posh Totty’s creative team to flourish. The beautifully restored Regency building, with its characterful charm and flexible layout, offers an inspiring setting that reflects the brand’s personality and values.

We caught up with Alice Cripps, Founder and CEO of Posh Totty Designs, to hear how the business has settled into its new home and what this exciting move means for the future.

Q&A with Alice Cripps, Founder and CEO of Posh Totty Designs

  1. What drew you to 33 New Road as the new home for your business, and how does the space complement your work?

After 15 years at New England House, we faced a significant upheaval when the building was condemned, forcing us to relocate. Securing 33 New Road marked a transformative moment; it felt as though a dark cloud had lifted, revealing clear skies.

This beautifully preserved Regency building offers an airy and serene environment – a stark contrast to our previous leaky and cold industrial space. The high ceilings and expansive windows flood the rooms with natural light, creating an inspiring atmosphere where our team has seamlessly settled. The three floors have allowed us to thoughtfully organise our departments, enhancing collaboration and efficiency.

Additionally, we've established a dedicated area on the top floor for events, workshops, and even a podcast studio for our show, “Show Us Your Bits.” After 21 years, this move has truly elevated our business – we finally feel like a grown-up!

  1. What has been the biggest challenge or most exciting part of setting up in your new space?

The most exhilarating part has been designing a workspace that authentically reflects our brand’s evolution and aspirations. Moving from a constrained industrial site to a spacious, elegant building has been invigorating.

Creating defined areas for each department has streamlined operations, while the new event and podcast spaces have opened exciting new avenues. Watching the team thrive in this environment – and seeing the positive impact on creativity and productivity – has been incredibly rewarding.

  1. What plans do you have for Posh Totty in the coming year?

There’s a lot to look forward to! We’ve recently launched in Heathrow Terminals 1 to 5, allowing more customers to experience our jewellery. We also have a series of exciting collaborations lined up, including one with Jo Malone, and a top-secret partnership launching in May.

Our commitment to personalised, meaningful jewellery and slow fashion remains at the heart of what we do – creating keepsakes designed to last a lifetime.

We’re also excited to take part in Brighton’s much-loved local events – from the Festival and Children’s Parade to Pride – now with a prime view from our new home. Thank you to Flude for helping us find the perfect space. It wasn’t easy, but we got there in the end!
