Why We Love Chichester
Tuesday 23 August 2022
We are proud to be regarded as a prominent Chichester and West Sussex business. Flude’s Chichester office celebrates its tenth anniversary later this year so we decided to take a look at what makes Chichester a fantastic place to work.
We asked Flude staff members to tell us why they enjoy working in the historical Cathedral City. Here is what they said:-
Director, Mark Minchell, emphasised what a great market Chichester is to work in. He commented, “I’ve worked in Chichester for over 20 years. The clients and other professionals I have had the privilege to work with all realise what a fantastic property market it is to be involved in. The diversity of property asset that we deal with, the nuances required and the beautiful location all offer a great mix of benefits for working in this city and the surrounding areas and towns”.
Administrator, Sue Prudente, enjoys being in the throes of the city. She commented, “Chichester is a lovely place to work because you can sit in the beautiful gardens by the Cathedral or wander around the many shops in your lunch break”.
Business & Strategy Manager, Lisa Prudente, is delighted by the leisure opportunities that Chichester offers. She commented, "Working in Chichester City Centre, I am lucky enough to be able to go for coffee with friends at lunch and enjoy grabbing a quick drink with colleagues after work! Not to mention being so close to the Canal and beach for paddle boarding when the sun is shining!".
Lizzie Cottrell, Assistant Surveyor, enjoys working alongside a team of experienced surveyors and working in a thriving centre. She commented, “Chichester is a beautiful place to work. I love being able to grab my morning coffee on my way to the office, and there are so many nearby restaurants and bars including The Ivy and Purchases. It is also a benefit being able to take nice walks around Priory Park or Bishop’s Palace Garden on a sunny day. Not only that, but I have learnt a lot from the team and have really expanded my property knowledge”.
Dan Green, Director, is a fan of padel and explained, "It is easy to enjoy working in Chichester since most of the city is Grade II listed and there is so much beautiful architecture. We are also lucky that Chichester Racquets & Fitness Club opened some padel courts last year... one of the few locations in the country!”.
Michael Hamlen, Surveyor, appreciates the old charm of Chichester. He commented, “I enjoy working in Chichester because the city provides a sense of history as you walk around. Whilst the Cathedral and architecture of Chichester standout, you still get a sense of modernisation around you”.
Mary Jackson, Surveyor, loves Chichester Cathedral and how "It provides great presence in the city amongst the mix of quirky, old and eclectic buildings".
