Flude Property Consultants (Flude) is an independent, regional firm of Chartered Surveyors, regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Established in 1996, we specialise in providing strategic property advice to clients who own or occupy commercial real estate.
We operate from offices in Brighton, Chichester, and Portsmouth, offering comprehensive coverage across the Southeast. Our core service lines include commercial agency, lease advisory (encompassing rent reviews, lease renewals, and lease restructuring), property management, valuation of real estate assets, and broader strategic consultancy related to investment and development.
The Role

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in the commercial property sector and the ability to promote the firm’s professional services while undertaking a wide range of responsibilities. The role includes the delivery of Red Book valuation instructions across the region, alongside a Landlord and Tenant workload comprising rent reviews and lease renewals/re-gears for both landlord and tenant clients.
Working across the office, industrial and retail sectors, including owner-occupied properties, investments and development assets, the role will involve property inspections and referencing, report writing, rent and value negotiations, liaison with clients and professional advisers, and identifying opportunities to cross-sell wider property services where appropriate.
About You
You will possess strong analytical skills, a sound level of technical expertise and well-developed report-writing abilities. You will be confident in taking ownership of your work, actively contributing to internal discussions on valuation and market conditions, and committed to developing high-quality client relationships.
We are seeking a surveyor to fill a role ranging from recently qualified Lease Advisory/Valuation Surveyor through to Associate level. The successful candidate will be a qualified RICS Registered Valuer or be capable of achieving this status within 12 months. You will have relevant professional experience in lease advisory, valuation and consultancy, and be able to support client acquisition initiatives and development appraisals as required. You will also be adaptable and able to respond effectively to changing market demands and opportunities.
Location
Brighton-Office based, working across East and West and Mid-Sussex.
Salary
Salary commensurate with experience, plus phone, car allowance and bonus.
