Chichester Retail & Leisure Market Update

We are pleased to share with you a summary of retail & leisure transactions from last year in Chichester, prepared by our dedicated retail and leisure team, who were ranked 1st with EG as the Most Active Agent by number of disposals and acquisition in the South East.
The high street in Chichester saw a lot of change in 2023, with some occupiers taking this opportunity to relocate to better units within the city, such as Mint Velvet. In terms of new openings, we found a lot of independents taking space who in the past found the occupational costs of units a barrier. So, the business rates revaluation and adjustment in rents has helped with getting units away. We also still saw good demand from more regional and national occupiers who still want to open in Chichester, which is really positive.
